Helllo :)
It's funny how many people are involved in getting this laptop. First, my sister for making the purchase. Then, vns, her laptop made me able to get the invoice. Then, Joshua, for helping me print the invoice. And last, Joseph, my ex-tuition teacher, for his suggestion of using cashcard to pay for it (they won't accept cash).
Yes, I am enjoying the laptop. I've never had a laptop with a resolution of 1680x1050, so yes, I'm at awe.
Just played the first chapter of Half Life2: Episode 1, to test out it's graphics. Everything on high, with x4 AA. It was stunning. I've always wanted to play HL2 on high, and finally, I have.
The keyboard, like I said before, is fantastic. It's very sturdy, and it gives a nice feedback with each key pressed. I really enjoy typing on it. One thing that bothers me is the Fn key though. It's located to the left of the Ctr key, which means sometimes when I want to press the Ctr, I'll accidentally press the Fn key. Will take time to get used to though.
The sound was... well, not really good. The location of the speakers causes many interference. However, like any good laptop user, always use headphones. And true enough, the potential of the sound card can be seen. Song quality is great, very crisp and loud.
One thing that troubles me, like vns's laptop, is the touchpad. It's positioned slightly left from the center. This causes my thumb to accidentally touch it when typing, causing the mouse to 'click'. Gets really troublesome. I read somewhere that there's a driver to enable/disable, and gives scrolling functions to the touchpad. I'm still looking for it though.
The design built is astounding. My temperatures is really great, even though I have not undervolted the cpu yet. GPU's idling at around 60-70, and climbs to around 80 when under stress. Highest I've seen was 84.
The design is very sleek and professional. The pictures of it in its website really make it look really bad, but the actual product looks... magnificent.
Anyway, I need help. Help me fill up my desktop! It's really empty, and it looks really weird.
And now, time to run a stress test overnight and do some undervolting to keep the temperature further down. I'm aiming for 30.
